The North Dakota office of Kraus-Anderson has begun a five-phase, 94,900-square-foot expansion and renovation at Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics, a rural health organization headquartered in Mobridge, South Dakota.

Serving Walworth County and the surrounding region, MRH&C is comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital, four federally certified rural health clinics, a 24-bed assisted living and senior housing center, and a rural ambulance service.

The $36 million construction project features a new patient wing, surgery suite, ambulance garage and helipad, and 63,600 square feet of upgrades to the hospital’s emergency department, surgery suite, imaging, kitchen and dining, and support offices.

Designed by Davis Partnership Architects, the project also includes new electrical service, generator and oxygen tank relocation.

Construction is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
